Latin Dance Returns! Sunday's Training Session Success
Updated: Sep 30, 2020

Over the weekend your Go Dance instructors got together to dust off their dance shoes!
Sunday 5th July marked our first day back at the Crows Nest studio. It was a closed session for staff members, and it all went exceedingly well.
It was an excellent opportunity to practice implementing our COVID safety plans and procedures.
The session started with a deep clean of all the common areas and 'high touch' areas of the studio. Once that was done, safety signs were placed up all over the studio, reminding our dancers of the 1.5-meter distancing rule and best practices for washing our hands.
Next on the list was teaching our staff the official Go Dance COVID-19 greeting. Kissing, hugging and shaking hands is out, the official Go Dance Greeting is in! (stay tuned for a video tutorial big our Go Dance greeting coming later this week). The response was excellent; the staff love the new greeting! So much so, that we couldn't start our training session until everyone had greeted each other using the new method!
Admittedly, it's been about three months that our guys and gals have been off dancing, so it took us a little while to warm up, but once we did it was just like old times! (see the video in this post).
Once our session was over it was time for another clean of the studio in preparation for the next session. Our staff left straight after class, ensuring that there was no overcrowding of the studio corridor as the next session of dancers arrived.
The most notable take away from Sunday's session was how much we enjoyed being able to see each other in person again. Now that we've got our COVID safety plan down pat, we are officially ready, excited and raring to see the rest of our Go Dance students return to dancing later this week!
